Brushed Finish
What is Brushed Finish?
A brushed finish is a surface treatment that creates a fine, consistent, unidirectional grain pattern on metal using abrasive belts or brushes. This finish gives the surface a satin-like appearance—smooth but not glossy—and helps hide minor scratches, machining marks, or imperfections.
Brushed finishes are commonly applied to stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals used in consumer products, automotive trim, mold components, and industrial equipment. The finish enhances aesthetics, improves uniformity, and provides a subtle texture while maintaining durability and cleanliness.

FAQ Of Brushed Finish
Visit our FAQ center for more questions.
What materials can receive a brushed finish?
Brushed finishing works well on stainless steel, aluminum, brass, titanium, and other metals, as long as the surface can be abraded uniformly.
Does a brushed finish improve corrosion resistance?
Not by itself. Brushing mainly affects appearance and texture. For corrosion resistance, additional treatments such as passivation, anodizing, or coating may be applied afterward.
Will a brushed finish show fingerprints or scratches?
It hides small scratches better than polished surfaces, but fingerprints and deeper scratches may still be visible. A protective coating can help reduce fingerprint visibility.
