Cavities: 1*2
Part Size: 66.99 X 76.86 X 28.26mm
Part Weight: 9.3g

Functions Of The Bumper Bracket

Enhanced Safety

In the event of a vehicle collision, the bumper bracket absorbs a portion of the impact, reducing damage to the body and passengers.

Protects The Rest Of The Vehicle

In a collision, the brackets help spread the force of the collision over a larger area, thus reducing damage to critical areas of the vehicle

Cost Effectiveness

Bumper bracket is generally more economical than other automotive components, helping to reduce vehicle maintenance and repair costs.

Surface Finishing of Front Bumper Bracket – Polish / Texture

We use 600# sandpaper or similar particle-size abrasive tools to finely grind the surface of the product to remove surface roughness and imperfections, achieve a smooth and even finish, and enhance the gloss and finish of the exterior of the bumper bracket. After completing the polishing, we then texture the product to enhance the visual appeal and decorative effect of the bumper bracket.

Parting Line Design of Front Bumper Bracket

Parting Line Design of Front Bumper Bracket

In mold design, parting lines, and slider lines play a key role in the injection molding process. Red lines are the parting lines, and blue lines are the parting lines of sliders.

Draft Angle Analysis of Front Bumper Bracket

Draft angle analysis is essential in plastic product design to verify if the geometry allows for smooth demolding.

The two surfaces pointed to in Figure 2 are located on the slide and are not provided with a draft angle. To ensure that the slide will release smoothly during the molding process, it is recommended that the material be reduced to provide a 2-degree draft angle on these two surfaces in the direction of the slide release. This adjustment will help improve release efficiency, reduce finished surface defects, and extend mold life.

Slider Design of Front Bumper Bracket

Slider and ejector designs are key components used in mold making, especially in the injection molding process. Their role is to allow the manufacture of plastic parts with complex internal or external geometries, as well as to handle protrusions or hollow structures in the product. Blue lines are parting lines of sliders.

Sub-Insert Design of Front Bumper Bracket

Sub-inserts are typically made from hardened materials to withstand repeated cycles and can be easily replaced during maintenance, reducing downtime. By isolating critical sections, sub-inserts improve mold longevity and simplify repairs, while also allowing for precise adjustments to part dimensions or surface finishes. The red parting lines are the core insert lines.

Ejector Design of Front Bumper Bracket

A 10 mm diameter ejector pin was used in the yellow area during the mold design and manufacturing process. This ejector pin was chosen to ensure that the molded part could be ejected smoothly from the mold during mold operation, preventing deformation or damage. The use of Ø10 ejector pins not only meets the requirements of the mold design, but also provides enough strength and stability to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the license plate bracket product.

Gate Type & Location & Size of Front Bumper Bracket

A combination of a YUDO Hot Nozzle with cold Cold Runners and Curved Tunnel Gates was used in the design. The size of the gate is 1.2 mm in diameter. To optimize this design, it was necessary to reduce the material thickness in the gate area to form a suitable gate recess. This design adjustment helps to ensure a smooth flow of material during the injection molding process while reducing unnecessary material waste, thus improving productivity and bumper bracket parts quality.

Mold Layout of Front Bumper Bracket

Reasonable mold layout design needs to take into account factors such as the injection molding machine, mold, cooling system, operating space and molded product removal to ensure the efficient operation of the production process and the quality of the final product.
