Functions Of The Elbow Sliding Cores
High Precision Design
The core parts of the slider are precision machined to accurately manufacture complex elbow shapes and ensure that the geometry of each part is consistent.
Optimized Sliding Mechanism
The advanced slider design ensures smooth movement during the injection process, reducing friction and wear and improving the overall efficiency of the mold.
Durable Materials
Manufactured using high-strength and wear-resistant engineering materials to ensure long-term use under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions, extending mold life and reducing maintenance costs.
Surface Finishing of Elbow Sliding Cores– Polish / Texture
Surface treatment is crucial in the manufacturing of plastic products. The blue surface marked as “Mark 1” in the picture should be polished to a B2 rating, while the green surface should have a textured VDI 3400-24 sparkling finish.
The Parting Line Design of Elbow Sliding Cores
In mold design, parting lines, and slider lines are critical to the injection molding process. The red line represents the parting line of elbow sliding cores, while the blue lines indicate the parting lines of the sliders.
The Draft Angle Analysis of Elbow Sliding Cores
Picture 1:
When designing the mold, apply a 0.5-degree draft angle to the green surfaces shown in Figure 1 and a 0.5-degree draft angle to the blue surfaces indicated in Figure 2. This adjustment can be achieved by modifying the cavity and cavity side geometry through material removal. Doing so will ensure smoother part demolding, minimize potential production issues, and enhance overall product quality.
Picture 2:
Add a 0.5-degree draft angle to the blue surfaces specified in marked 1, when designing the mold. This can be accomplished by altering the cavity geometry through material removal, ensuring easier part release and improved manufacturing efficiency.
Picture 3:
Add a 0.5-degree draft angle to the green surfaces specified in marked 1 when designing the mold. To achieve this adjustment, the geometry of the core can be altered by cutting the material.
Picture 4:
When designing the mold, add a 0.5-degree draft angle to the green surfaces specified in Figure 1. To achieve this adjustment, the slider can be altered by cutting the material, which ensures a smoother part demolding, reduces potential problems in production, and improves product quality. Due to the green surface having no draft angle in the slider at marked 2, we suggest adding a draft angle of 0.5 degrees by cutting material for the slider.
Picture 5:
In Fig. 5, No. 1, it is recommended that an additional 0.1 degrees of draw angle be added to the red surface. This adjustment can be achieved by cutting the material, especially to ensure the smooth operation of the slide during the demolding process.
Slider & Lifter Design Of Elbow Sliding Cores
The slider design is a critical element in injection mold manufacturing, requiring the precise arrangement of sliders within the mold structure and the design of corresponding slide trajectories and channels to achieve the desired shapes or structural features in the elbow sliding product. In Figure 1, the part labeled “1” represents the slider inserts, and the blue lines marked 2 indicate the slider parting lines. In Figure 2, the part labeled 1 refers to the core sliders, while the blue lines marked 2 show the parting line in the core.
Ejector Design Of Elbow Sliding Cores
The ejector design is critical in plastic injection molding for the smooth removal of the molded plastic part from the mold. We use the Ø8 ejector pin in this elbow sliding cores product.
Gate Type & Location & Size of Elbow Sliding Cores
In the plastic injection molding process, the gate type, location, and size are critical factors that directly impact the quality and production efficiency of the molded product.
The Problem Points of Elbow Sliding Cores
In Figures 1 and 2, to optimize the slider’s parting line, we recommend removing the rounded design marked in red. This adjustment will enhance the alignment accuracy of the slider within the mold, reduce stress concentration at the parting line, and ultimately improve both the mold’s performance and the product’s manufacturing quality.
Picture 3: In the slider design, the surface marked in blue has an issue with backing up. To resolve this, we recommend removing material from the red area shown in the picture. This adjustment will effectively eliminate the buckling issue, ensuring smooth slider movement in the mold and facilitating the demolding process, ultimately enhancing both productivity and product quality.
Elbow Sliding Cores Mold Layout
Reasonable mold layout design needs to take into account factors such as the injection molding machine, mold, cooling system, operating space and molded product removal to ensure the efficient operation of the production process and the quality of the final elbow sliding cores product.
Packing Delivery
Before delivery, we will fully maintain and clean the molds to make sure the surface of the molds are smooth and internal impurities. Then anti-shock material and protective padding are packed and put into wooden crates and labeled with model and quantity information.
